The Texas Association of Builders is set to host its 16th bi-annual Legislative Rally Day at the State Capitol on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. More than 23 of TAB’s 28 local home builders associations will be represented in Austin as members visit with legislators about issues facing Texas’ residential construction and development industry.
“Rally Day is an extremely important event,” TAB Executive Director Scott Norman said. “It’s an excellent opportunity for our members to advocate for issues facing Texas’ residential construction and development industry. Our membership stands ready to work with policymakers with a goal of ensuring that the citizens of Texas have access to quality, affordable housing.”
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick will kick things off by addressing the group at 10:30 a.m., followed by remarks from Norman and Steve Sorrells, TAB President.
“It’s critical we have a strong showing of support in Austin,” Sorrells said. “This is our opportunity to discuss issues that impact housing industry with homeowners, future home buyers and the 84th Texas Legislature.”
